What is YUMMi?

YUMMi is a product of EVANS TECHNOLOGi LIMITED. We are technology company. We are not in the business of delivery and logistics.

How do I place an order?

1. Enter Your Address: Enter your street address or post code and click on the "Search" button.

1. Your order and payment are sent directly to the restaurant.

2. Your job is one! You will receive multiple notification to inform you on your orders status. These notifications are:-

a. The restaurant accepts the order

b. The driver accepts the order -Using our YUMMi app you can track the driver.

c. The driver picks up the order

d. The driver completes the order

3. The restaurant accepts the order.

4. The driver accepts the order.

What should I do the restaurant has not accepted my order?

If the restaurant has not accepted your order then give them a call. A good time to wait is 10 minutes after the order is placed. Their number can be found on the confirmation email.

What should I do the driver has not accepted my order?

At busy times, drivers can take up to 20 minutes to accept an order after the restaurant has accepted. If you are concerned about your order then contact the restaurant. Their number can be found on the confirmation email.

My order was cancelled/rejected, how can I get my refund?

Restaurants will refund cancelled and rejected orders.

My order was cancelled/rejected but I still do not have my refund?

After placing your order all payments are pending. That means although the money has been taken out of your account, it is still not in the possession of the restaurant. When a restaurant refunds the money, the pending transaction is deleted. So, although you may not see a refund, there will be no record of the payment leaving your account. If you still have a record of payment but and no refund then contact the restaurant. Refunds can take up to 10 days to appear on bank statements.

How do preorders work?

Preorders are orders that you do not require immediately. Or orders that are made while the restaurant is closed. Drivers will aim to be at the restaurant for the preorder time requested. The preorder time is not the delivery time. Please note that preorders made at the time the restaurant reopens, may be delayed while restaurant staff take time to open restaurants. Preorder delivery times are estimates and customer should not have the expectation that food will be delivered exactly at that time. Factors that contribute to delivery times are time order is required, traffic, how busy the restaurant may be at that time.

I have contacted the restaurant multiple times and I am not happy with the outcome. What can I do?

The restaurant is closed but I still see that they are available on YUMMi. Why is that?

Restaurants control their presence on the software. In these cases, it is usually because someone from the restaurant has forgotten to turn the restaurant off on the app. Any orders made while restaurants are close will be cancelled and refunded by the restaurant.

What is the fee for using YUMMi?

There is absolutely no fee for using YUMMi. Restaurants are paid by the customer for the items in the order, Drivers are paid the delivery fee and tips.

I would like to give my delivery driver a cash tip, is that ok?

For security reason drivers prefer not to carry cash. Please use the app for tipping drivers. Note that 100% of the tip given by the customer go to the delivery driver for that order.

Is my credit card information secure?

You can safely enter your credit card number via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information and transmits and stores such information in an encrypted state. YUMMi uses Stripe as a leader in credit card payments, to ensure all credit card data is transmitted and secured.

How much should I tip for delivery?

It is not customary in New Zealand that delivery people are paid a tip, but is certainly always appreciated.

I forgot my username/password, what do I do?

Your username is generally the email address that you first registered with.

To reset your password, click on the "Forgot Password" link in the Sign In form. You will need to enter your registered email address and then you will receive an email from YUMMi that allows you to reset your password.

To receive a username reminder, click on the "Forgot Username" link in the Sign In form. You will need to enter your registered email address and then you will receive an email from YUMMi with any username(s) associated with your email address.

Can I have two YUMMi accounts with the same email address?

No. Since the email address serves as the login name for your account, you are only allowed to have one YUMMi account assigned to an email address. To have another account, you need to register another email address.

Why I am getting a message that a restaurant does not deliver to me?

The restaurant service areas are determined by each individual restaurant. When browsing by a specific address, there is a chance that a restaurant does not deliver to your specific address. If you enter a specific address on the homepage, then you will be brought to all the restaurants that do deliver to you.

Where did all these restaurant ratings and reviews come from?

All of the restaurant ratings and reviews come from YUMMi users just like you. If you have opinions about any restaurants listed on the site, be sure to rate and review them to help your fellow diners! Selected reviews will be posted to the site.

How do I share my opinion about a particular restaurant?

There are many opportunities throughout the ordering process to add your rating and review of a restaurant. Wherever you see a restaurant's rating displayed, logged in users will be able to click on it to add a rating and write a review.

How come you don't have [Restaurant X] listed on YUMMi?

YUMMi is a demand-based system designed to bring you a wide variety of the best delivery restaurants in your area. If you know of another restaurant that you think would be a good addition, just suggest it to us and we'll do our best to add them on.

How does a pickup order work?

The ordering process is the same as a standard YUMMi delivery order - enter your starting address (where you'll be picking the order up from), choose from the restaurants available for pickup, add items to your order from the menu (no need to worry about delivery minimums!), checkout and pay with your credit/debit card, then go get your food.

Important: You will need to bring your ID when picking up your order.
